This collection contains the records of Arvah B. Hopkins, consisting of survey maps of Tallahassee and Leon County from 1941 to 1970. The survey maps were made by his brother, Charles Hopkins, who was a registered land surveyor. The survey maps are primarily of individual houses and lots, as well as larger neighborhood surveys.

Arvah B. Hopkins started working for the City of Tallahassee as a rodman in a survey crew in 1932. He continued his career with the city working in the engineering department and as director of public works. Arvah B.
